“Akhmat” football team head coach Aleksandr Storojuk shared his thoughts ahead of the match against “Dinamo” Makhachkala. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He particularly spoke about the team's mental preparation before the Caucasus derby. According to the coach, this game holds special significance, and the team has conducted discussions and preparation considering this situation.
He emphasized that he expects the game to be intense. Storojuk had previously stated that the team needs to gradually transition to an attacking style after the last match.
According to him, “Dinamo” Makhachkala has a good and organized defense. They defend as a whole team and utilize the field quickly through Agalarov in counterattacks.
Therefore, it may be difficult for the “Akhmat” team to showcase their style in this match. The coach mentioned that the team has been trying to recover in a short time, having only held a training session yesterday.
He also provided information about some changes in the lineup. According to him, Mansilya was injured in the previous match and has been under medical supervision for a week.
Melkadze, on the other hand, was injured in the cup match and is out for an unknown period. When asked about the team's inability to secure victories at the beginning of the season, the coach noted that due to new players and new demands, mutual understanding within the team has not yet fully developed, but work continues on the team.
He also expressed hope that the mistakes from previous matches would not be repeated in the future.
