The honorary president of the Russian Football Union, Vyacheslav Koloskov, expressed his opinion about the opponents of the Russian national team in the upcoming friendly matches. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Russian national team, led by Valeriy Karpin, will face the national teams of Jordan and Qatar. According to Koloskov, the Russian national team currently has no right to choose its opponents.
They stated that they are only playing against teams that have agreed to play. The Jordan and Qatar teams are not bad; they are significantly stronger than the opponents in the recent friendly matches.
Koloskov's thoughts on this were conveyed through "Match TV." The Russian national team's next friendly matches will take place on September 4 and 7.
It should be noted that, according to the decision of FIFA and UEFA, Russian national teams and clubs are unable to participate in international competitions. Therefore, they are mainly limited to holding friendly matches.
In the current circumstances, finding an opponent is not easy, but the national team is trying to make full use of the available opportunities.
