According to the information service of the Russian Football Union, the results of the matches against Qatar and Jordan will be taken into account in the FIFA rankings. Therefore, Valery Karpin cannot replace more than six players in these games.
Currently, the Russian national team is ranked 35th in the FIFA rankings. The Qatar national team is in 53rd place, while Jordan is in 64th place.
It is known that due to the sanctions imposed by UEFA and FIFA, the Russian national team cannot participate in international competitions and is only allowed to hold friendly matches.
