Genich: Cherchesov is waiting for an offer from a Moscow club

Sports commentator and expert Konstantin Genich expressed his opinion on Stanislav Cherchesov's potential return to the head coach position of the Grozny city "Akhmat" football team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to the expert, Stanislav Salamovich initially asked for time to think after receiving an offer from the "Akhmat" team and later rejected the proposal. In Genich's opinion, Cherchesov's goal was to wait for offers from Moscow clubs or teams competing for the championship.

However, currently, the coaches of the strongest clubs have retained their positions. Additionally, Genich emphasized that the likelihood of Cherchesov being appointed as the head coach of Moscow's "CSKA" team is not high.

For reference, Stanislav Cherchesov has been out of work for the past six months. In the winter of 2025, he left the Kazakhstan national team.

He was unable to achieve success with this team in the UEFA Nations League competition. At the same time, some experts in the sports field view Cherchesov's potential return to work positively.

In their opinion, working is always better than being unemployed.
