Former Russia national team footballer Aleksandr Mostovoy addressed Stanislav Cherchesov, who has been appointed as the head coach of the Grozny club "Akmat". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In his interview, Mostovoy wished Cherchesov good luck in his new job and expressed hope to rectify the failures of recent years. It should be noted that Stanislav Cherchesov has not been coaching for the past six months.
His last position was with the Kazakhstan national team, where he did not achieve the expected results. According to Mostovoy, even though Cherchesov could not prove himself with the Kazakhstan national team, he can restore his reputation through the "Akmat" club.
In the new season, the "Akmat" team has not earned any points in the first three rounds of the Russian Premier League. The team lost in matches against "Rubin", Moscow's CSKA, and Makhachkala's "Dynamo".
Additionally, they also lost in a match against the "Zenit" team in the Russian Cup. As the new head coach of the "Akmat" club, Cherchesov is expected to improve the team's results and justify the fans' trust.
Mostovoy also wishes him success on this path.
