Former president of the “Spartak” football club Andrey Chervichenko criticized the club's sports director Fransis Kahigao's activities. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Kahigao is purchasing players who are not beneficial for the club. Chervichenko emphasized that this situation was particularly evident in the match against “Akron”.
He stated that the new players of “Spartak” did not fully demonstrate themselves and the money spent on them did not justify itself. The players of “Akron” showed that they are no less capable than the new “Spartak” players Liva Garcia and Jedson Fernandes.
This has been a significant loss for the club, says Chervichenko. According to reports, Liva Garcia joined “Spartak” for 18.7 million euros in the winter of 2025.
For Jedson Fernandes, the Moscow club paid 20.7 million euros this summer. This amount does not include bonuses.
In the match against “Akron”, “Spartak” conceded a goal in the final minutes and managed to earn only one point. The game ended with a score of 1:1.
Thus, it can be seen that the money spent on the club's new players has not justified itself so far. Experts are evaluating this situation as a serious problem.
