Ashraf Hakimi: I consider myself worthy of the Ballon d'Or

Ashraf Hakimi, the right-back of the "Paris Saint-Germain" team, shared his thoughts on the upcoming Ballon d'Or award ceremony. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Moroccan footballer is among the 30 players nominated for the prestigious individual award. The winner's name will be announced on September 22.

In an interview, Ashraf Hakimi said: "I think I deserve the Ballon d'Or, but it is much more difficult for defenders to win this award. Many see me as an attacking midfielder, but I play as a right-back and mainly focus on defense."

Hakimi helped the team win the Champions League, French championship, French Cup, and the country's Super Cup as part of "Paris Saint-Germain." He has scored 11 goals and provided 16 assists in 55 matches for the team under the leadership of Luis Enrique.
