The head coach of the Orenburg football team, Vladimir Slishkovich, shared his thoughts on the match against Krasnodar at the end of the game. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
After the match, Slishkovich emphasized that the game unfolded differently in both halves. According to him, there were dangerous situations for our team in the first half, and we even managed to score a goal.
However, the opponent was quite active in set pieces, creating danger for our goal several times. In the second half, when the score was 0:0, we had 3-4 good counterattack opportunities, but we could not convert them into goals.
In the final minutes of the game, new players came onto the field, but due to a small mistake, the opponent scored. Overall, according to Slishkovich, Krasnodar's victory was deserved.
The coach expressed regret that we could not capitalize on our scoring opportunities. He also noted that there were many dangerous situations for the team, but a player to execute the final shot was not found.
Slishkovich believes that this situation is not related to the players' inability to interact with each other, but rather to their individual skills. He emphasized that there are many new players in the team, and they need to be given opportunities.
He announced that some key players would be rested in the cup matches, while some players would be given the chance to showcase themselves. The coach added that due to short-term breaks, not all players can always be on the starting lineup.
