The former coach of the Russian youth national team, Igor Kolivanov, commented on the possibility of the resignation of Sergey Semak, the head coach of the St. Petersburg "Zenit" club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Kolivanov, the possibility of Semak being relieved of his duties is quite real. Kolivanov emphasized that "Zenit" always sets high goals.
Currently, the coach is expected to deliver results, but the team's performance and results are not meeting expectations. Therefore, this situation could lead to Semak's resignation.
Sergey Semak has been the head coach of the "Zenit" team since 2018. Under his leadership, the club has become the national champion six times.
Last season, "Zenit" finished in second place, just one point behind "Krasnodar." In the current season, the team has accumulated five points after four matches and is in eighth place.
Therefore, if the results do not improve, a change of coach may occur within the team management.
