Former Russian national team striker Dmitriy Bulykin expressed his opinion on which country would be better for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Matvey Safonov to continue his career. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Bulykin, if there are offers from European clubs, it would be preferable for Safonov to stay in Europe. Especially if an opportunity arises from the English Premier League, going there would be the best choice.
However, Bulykin emphasized that the current situation is somewhat complicated and unclear. For reference, last weekend, PSG officially purchased goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from the French club Lille at a high price.
Additionally, the club still has experienced Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The team also includes Spanish goalkeeper Arnau Tenas and 19-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper Renatu Marin.
Therefore, the competition among goalkeepers at PSG is strong, and the opportunity for Safonov to play in the starting lineup may be complicated. For this reason, Bulykin recommends that Safonov choose the best option to continue his career.
