The head coach of the Orenburg football team, Vladimir Slishkovich, shared his thoughts at the end of the game. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the team performed well in the first half, while in the second half, the players showed themselves even more and entered the game with confidence. The coach especially noted that it was difficult to gain control of the ball in the first twenty minutes.
After that, the team returned to their unique playing style and acted according to the agreed plan. They made a good appearance in the second half, and the coach stated that the team had the advantage.
He expressed satisfaction with the result but noted that there were many situations in the game, and the score could have been 3:0 or 4:0, but they were unable to fully capitalize on their opportunities. The opponent managed to equalize in the final minutes, but in the end, Orenburg won.
The coach considers this result to be fair and emphasized that a draw would have been unjust. At the same time, he mentioned the need to change the team's mentality, stating that they should not be satisfied with just one game result.
He highlighted the importance of having many games ahead, working on themselves in each match, and addressing shortcomings. The coach stated that young players would be given opportunities and that they would strive to show themselves.
He emphasized that young players have a future, and helping them develop and grow is his duty as a coach. It was noted that it is important not to limit oneself to just training without official games, but to create opportunities for gaining experience.
