More than a month after Fernando Gago was dismissed, the Argentine club "Boca Juniors" has appointed a new head coach. Euro-football.ru reported this.
The coach managing the club for the third time will be Miguel Ángel Russo. Russo first worked as Boca's head coach in 2007, and then again held the position in 2020.
Gago was dismissed following a heavy defeat against "River Plate". The club management has set a clear task for Russo – to achieve good results at the Club World Cup starting in about half a month.
"Boca Juniors" has won the Argentine championship 29 times, most recently achieving this in 2022. Now the club is striving for new milestones under the leadership of the new coach.
