Football scout: “Abduqodir Husanov is the reason for the increased interest in Central Asian football players”
Famous football scout Jank Chetin praised the performances of Uzbekistan national team and Manchester City defender Abduqodir Husanov in an interview with the Manchester Evening News.
He shared his thoughts on how the player performed at a high level during the U-20 World Cup held in Argentina in 2023.
“In all four matches he played in the tournament, he left no chances for his opponents in aerial duels. Besides his physical strength, he is considered a very quick and agile player.”
Chetin also highlighted Husanov's performance in the Round of 16 match against Israel:
“Husanov demonstrated a high level in reading the game, positioning correctly, intercepting the ball, and defending in one-on-one situations against physically and technically strong attackers like Anan Halili and Taya Abeda.”
While discussing Abduqodir Husanov's future, the scout emphasized that he could become an even higher-level player under Pep Guardiola:
“Over time, he will overcome the language barrier and become one of the key players in the Manchester City squad.”
Additionally, Jank Chetin noted the rapid development of Central Asian football, referring to the region as a new competitive area in the football market. According to him, the interest in this region is sharply increasing due to players like Abduqodir Husanov.
