Yesterday, "Roma" faced a serious opponent, and many were curious about how the team would perform in this clash. After the match, the team's head coach Claudio Raneri shared his thoughts at the press conference.
“I am pleased with the boys. We expected such a game — I mentioned this at the press conference as well. Therefore, the pressure from the opponent was not unexpected for us,” said the experienced specialist.
Raneri particularly emphasized the team's desire to respond despite the opponent's pressure:
“Our plan was to respond to every strike with a strike. Unfortunately, we couldn't manage this in the first 20 minutes. However, in the next 20 minutes, we acted well — Niko Gonsales' header hit the post, and Cristante was close to scoring.”
However, the fact that the attacks did not end in goals was noticeable and disappointed Raneri:
