Mikel Arteta: "If it weren't for Guardiola, I wouldn't have come here"
Arsenal's head coach Mikel Arteta expressed his gratitude to his mentor – Manchester City's head coach Josep Guardiola after defeating Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

"I called him this morning. My being here today is because of him. So, I want to say a special thank you to him. Guardiola has always inspired me. I had an amazing four years with him and I am always grateful to him. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't be here," Arteta said.

It is worth noting that Arsenal won the second leg against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with a score of 2:1. In the first match, they secured a convincing victory with a score of 3:0.

Thus, the London club reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals for the first time since the 2008/09 season. Now Arteta's team will compete against PSG for a place in the final.
