
The Scotland and Belarus national teams have started their match in Group C of the second round of the World Cup qualifiers. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The match was interesting and full of controversial moments, with the VAR system playing an important role. In the 16th minute, Che Adams took the ball and struck from 17 meters towards the opponent's goal.
The VAR system overturned the offside call and the goal was counted – the score was 1:0. In the following minutes, due to a mistake by the home team in the center, German Barkovskiy made an accurate pass from the left wing into the penalty area.
Evgeniy Malashevich sent the ball into the goal, but the goal was disallowed due to a rule violation. Near the end of the game, when Aleksandr Martynovich made a pass from the left wing to the center, he failed to control the ball, and Scott McTominay easily directed the ball into the right corner – the score was 2:0.
After that, the visiting goalkeeper came out far and made an inaccurate pass. In this situation, the ball fell to Billy Gilmore’s hand, who struck towards the upper right corner, but it was not a goal.
In the 90th minute, Gleb Kuchko took the ball from a teammate and made an accurate shot into the right corner – the score was 2:1. Currently, Scotland leads the group with 10 points after four games.
Denmark has collected seven points in three games. Greece has three points.
