FIFA President Infantino congratulated Uzbekistan on the World Cup qualification
FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated the Uzbekistan national team for qualifying for the World Cup to be hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the USA in 2026.

In his official message, Infantino acknowledged Uzbekistan's experience in international football over the years, as well as the achievements of youth and Olympic teams, emphasizing that the debut of the "White Wolves" in the World Cup is a significant event for the entire football world.

"Welcome to the FIFA World Cup, Uzbekistan!" Infantino began his message.

"I sincerely congratulate you on securing a historic qualification for the World Cup taking place in Canada, Mexico, and the USA in 2026.

Since becoming a FIFA member in 1994, Uzbekistan has been participating commendably in various competitions among youth and the Olympic Games. Now, through excellent qualifying results, your national team rightfully has a place on the big stage.

Millions of fans are eagerly awaiting the 'White Wolves' first steps in the World Cup," the congratulatory letter states.

Noteworthy point: historic debut

The Uzbekistan national team has succeeded in reaching the final stage of the World Cup for the first time in its history. This achievement is significant not only for sports but also for the country's reputation and the popularization of football.

Infantino's personally sent congratulations will further strengthen Uzbekistan's recognition on the international stage.

A new chapter in Uzbekistan's football history has been opened. Now we will see the "White Wolves" not only on Asian fields but also in the World Cup — the highest stage of football.

Congratulations once again to the historic qualifiers! Go, Uzbekistan!
