The Uzbekistan U-17 national team achieved another success in their international friendly match. Our team triumphed over the Chilean youth with a score of 1:0, and this victory led to great impressions and positive conclusions.
After the match, head coach Islombek Ismoilov commented on the team's performance: “I am pleased with our players' actions today. Although it was our first time playing against a Latin American team, my boys followed all the instructions without question. We acted successfully against a physically and technically strong opponent like Chile. We did not give our opponent any chances in terms of strength and speed.”
The coach also emphasized that despite some players getting injured, the team demonstrated discipline and unity: “Of course, several of our boys got injured during the game. However, considering that there are Latin American representatives in our World Cup group, this match served as an important experience for us. Playing against Chile enhanced our tactical potential and created an opportunity for better preparation for the World Cup.”
