RFS "Torpedo" will conduct an independent inspection – Djukov

The president of the Russian Football Union, Alexander Dyukov, promised that an independent investigation would be conducted regarding the situation with the Moscow "Torpedo" club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Despite the owner and director of the club being arrested, the team was allowed to participate in the upcoming RPL season. According to Dyukov, they have certain information and materials are coming in from law enforcement agencies.

These documents may be prepared for review by the disciplinary commission. In addition, the head of the RFS expressed concern about the club's financial guarantees. He described the situation where the team starts the season but later has to withdraw from the championship as unacceptable.

The owner of the "Torpedo" club, Leonid Sobolev, and director Valery Skorodumov have been arrested on suspicion of bribing referees in at least three matches within the first league. At the same time, the club's accountant, Elena Volkova, has been placed under house arrest.

These situations are negatively impacting the club's operations, and the situation is being closely monitored. The RFS has taken this matter seriously and is taking all necessary measures.
