Fiorentina will play on neutral ground in the Conference League

Fiorentina has officially requested to change the venue for its home game. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

This request is being made in the context of the qualifying round of the Conference League in the 4th round. According to reports, the reason for this is the ongoing renovation of the "Artemio Franchi" stadium in Florence.

The club is looking to host these matches at the "Mapei" stadium in Reggio Emilia. The exact date of the match will depend on the draw results, either on August 21 or 28. Previously, officials from Italy's Serie A had approved the request from Fiorentina to play the first two matches of the 2025/26 season away from home for this reason.

Last season, Fiorentina managed to reach the semifinals of the Conference League, but the Spanish club Betis denied them the opportunity. The club is making serious decisions regarding the selection of a new stadium for away games.

Once the stadium reconstruction is completed, they are expected to continue hosting home games in Florence. This move by the club aims to create convenience for players and fans.
