US and Israel actions threaten global energy

Qatar's Energy Minister Saad al Kaabi stated that the military actions of the US and Israel against Iran pose a serious threat to global energy security. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, if the situation does not stabilize, oil-producing countries in the Persian Gulf may be forced to halt operations within the coming weeks. This could cause the price of oil on the world market to rise to as much as $150 per barrel.
Currently, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has become very dangerous. The near halt of ship traffic and the sharp increase in insurance premiums have disrupted the logistics chain.
The price of Brent crude oil has already risen to $87.66, marking the highest level since July 2024. Experts are concerned that if this crisis continues, global GDP growth may slow down and there could be shortages of goods worldwide.
It should be recalled that following the military clashes that began on February 28, Tehran launched its retaliatory strikes. As a result, on March 2, Qatar was forced to stop its liquefied natural gas production.
The decision of this country, which holds a significant share in the global market, is negatively impacting global energy supply.
