Kechinov: Zenit players were not leaders in the season

Former "Spartak" football player Valeriy Kechinov emphasized that none of the representatives of "Zenit" were listed among the best players of the last season of the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In his opinion, the "Zenit" players did not manage to show a sufficiently bright game this season. Kechinov especially recalled the initial games of G'lushenkov before his injury, stating that if he had continued like that, he could have achieved high results.

Overall, he noted that it is difficult to single out a particularly noteworthy player from the "Zenit" squad. It has been revealed that according to the results of the last season, "Krasnodar" forward Jon Cordoba was chosen as the best player of the Russian Premier League.

This season, the Kuban club succeeded in becoming the Russian champion for the first time in its history. "Zenit," on the other hand, secured second place in the tournament table, collecting one point less than the winner.
