Smolov's wife explained her husband's conflict

The wife of former Krasnodar striker Fyodor Smolov, Karina Istomina, explained the situation regarding the scandal involving the footballer at a café in the capital. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

At the end of May, Smolov attempted to attack two people at this very location. Seven years ago, Aleksandr Kokorin and Pavel Mamaev also made headlines at this place.

Istomina stated that her husband's actions are a result of emotional control issues and he is currently addressing this matter in therapy. According to her, this behavior seems illogical and foolish not only to her husband but to others as well.

Nevertheless, Istomina acknowledged that such actions are wrong and stated that she would never abandon her husband. She also mentioned that the footballer regrets his mistake and understands that resolving problems through conflict is not the right approach.

They attempted to negotiate with the affected parties for a month, but the opposing side consistently raised their demands and even resorted to threats. Although this incident has negatively impacted the footballer's personal and professional life, Istomina expressed her support for him.
