The head coach of Belgrade's "Partizan" team, Srdjan Blagoevich, expressed his thoughts on the possibility of merging the championships of Russia and Serbia in an interview with journalists. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, if such a proposal arises, he would view it positively. Blagoevich emphasized that this could increase competition between clubs from the two countries and further elevate the level of the tournament.
Last season, the "Krasnodar" team won the championship in the Russian Premier League. This team became the first in its history to claim the gold medals.
The second place was taken by St. Petersburg's "Zenit" team, while the third was concluded by the Central Sports Club of Moscow, namely CSKA. It was noted that such news could serve to develop regional football.
Overall, the merging of the championships is expected to enhance the teams' gameplay and competition, as well as be interesting for the fans.
