PSG will sell Safonov depending on Donnarumma's situation

The Paris "PSG" club continues to work on signing Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarniy. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The major team of France's Ligue 1 plans to finalize this deal by mid-July. At the same time, the situation regarding Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov must be clarified in the future.

Currently, the Parisians are engaged in complex negotiations, particularly with Gianluigi Donnarumma, whose current contract lasts for another year. According to Sport24, there are two main options.

The first option envisions an extension of Donnarumma's current contract. In this case, Safonov may be sold or loaned out.

The second option is related to Donnarumma's transfer. If he leaves the team, Safonov will remain, but Zabarniy's transfer will be in doubt.

According to sources, the future of 26-year-old Safonov will be determined after the conclusion of the Club World Cup. Agreements between the club and the player are expected to be finalized thereafter.
