On Thursday, the Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union made a firm decision to exclude the "Torpedo" club from the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Moscow club was punished for attempting to organize fixed matches during the spring months. According to the committee's decision, three matches were involved in this case.
Now, the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union must determine the sixteenth participant of the Premier League for the new season. At the same time, it is not considered that the number of teams in the new championship can be 15.
This was reported by "Match TV". The main candidates for a place in the Russian Premier League are the "Orenburg" and "Ural" clubs.
"Orenburg" finished in 15th place in the Premier League this season, while "Ural" secured fourth place in the second division, missing the opportunity against "Akhat" in the next matches. The organization is currently expected to resolve this situation and finalize the list of clubs participating in the new season.
