The Executive Committee of the Russian Football Federation will have to make a decision regarding the 16th team of the Premier League for the second time this summer. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Previously, the "Khimki" team was unable to obtain a license due to financial problems, and their place was taken by "Pari NN," but this team lost in the matches. Now the "Torpedo" team has been expelled from the elite, as they are accused of attempting to organize fixed matches.
The new meeting of the Executive Committee of the Russian Football Federation regarding the 16th team will be held on July 11, Friday, in the first half of the day. This meeting will take place remotely, that is, in absentia, as reported by "Match TV."
Recently, three different options are actively being discussed within the Russian football community. The first option is to keep the "Orenburg" team in the Premier League.
The second option is to return the "Ural" team to the Premier League, even though they have lost in the matches. The third option involves organizing an additional game between the "city team" and the "shmeli" team.
These decisions will be of great importance in determining the composition of the Premier League teams.
