The Orenburg football club will participate in the Russian Premier League next season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This was announced by the official Telegram channel of the Russian Football Union. It was previously announced that the Torpedo club in Moscow was expelled from the Premier League.
This decision was made because the club attempted to organize fixed matches. The executive committee of the Russian Football Union decided to replace Torpedo with Orenburg at a meeting held on July 11.
Last season, the Orenburg team, led by Vladimir Slishkovich, finished in 15th place in the league and directly left the elite division. The new season of the Russian championship will start on July 18.
On that day, the Dynamo team will play against Baltika. Good results can be expected from the Orenburg team in the new season.
