Former coach and sports advisor to the "Ural" team, Alexander Tarkhanov, expressed his opinion on the decision of the Bureau of the Russian Football Executive Committee to accept "Orenburg" into the RPL in an exclusive interview with the publication "Euro-Football.Ru". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the Bureau did not choose "Ural" by accepting "Orenburg" into the RPL. Tarkhanov emphasized that he opposes this decision and stated that it should have been in favor of "Ural".
The reason is that "Orenburg" was relegated from the RPL and should have played in the FNL. He also reminded that last season the refereeing was unfair towards "Ural".
He believes that this refereeing is the reason why "Ural" could not make it to the RPL. The Bureau does not know why such a decision was made, but at least a playoff game should have been held, he said.
When asked if he was expecting this decision, he stated that he was not surprised due to the many discussions around it. Many experts supported holding a game between "Ural" and "Orenburg".
Tarkhanov also assessed this as the most correct decision and emphasized that "Ural" had good chances in that game, as they were stronger. Additionally, when asked about the future of the "Torpedo" team, which was accepted into the FNL, he said that the team would fight for the higher league in an honest manner.
