The Secretary General of the Russian Football Union, Maxim Mitrofanov, expressed his opinion about the match that may be held for the right to play in the Russian Premier League between the teams "Orenburg" and "Ural". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that the "Ural" team has the right to appeal to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport). Each club and its management can have such a right, and he did not see any violations in this case.
Mitrofanov also stated that the issue of holding the match has not yet been considered. It is worth noting that during the meeting of the executive committee of the Russian Football Union held on July 11, it was decided that the "Orenburg" team would take the place of the Moscow "Torpedo" in the Premier League.
Last season, "Orenburg" finished 15th in the league table, while "Ural" secured fourth place in the Russian second-tier league, reaching the playoff matches where they missed the opportunity against the "Akhmat" team. As a result, "Orenburg" returned to the Russian Premier League again.
