Birmingham's Aston Villa club has signed a contract with a 34-year-old goalkeeper. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club has added Marko Bizot, who played for Belarus's Brest team, to its ranks. So far, there is no information about the duration of his contract with the new team.
Bizot is a Dutch citizen and was trained at the famous Ajax academy in Amsterdam. After leaving the club system, he played for Groningen, the Belgian team Genk, and AZ Alkmaar.
Since 2021, he has been playing for Brest and participated in the UEFA Champions League last season. In the new football season, Aston Villa will test its strength in the Europa League.
Last season, under the leadership of Unai Emery, the club collected 66 points in the English Premier League, finishing in sixth place. The club's goals for the new season are to secure higher positions and achieve success in competitions.
Marko Bizot's addition to the team will serve to strengthen the goalkeeper position. The new player will help increase Aston Villa's competitiveness with his experience.
