Tenscope analysts have determined how long people living in various countries around the world need to work to buy the base 256-gigabyte iPhone 17. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The results of this comparison provide a clear understanding of how income and living standards differ across countries. According to the data, in Luxembourg and Switzerland, considered among the wealthiest countries in Europe, it takes only three days of work to purchase the new Apple smartphone.
Similarly, in the United States, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, an average of four days of work is sufficient. However, the situation is different in developing countries.
For example, in India, it requires 160 days of work to get an iPhone 17. In the Philippines, this figure is 101 days, in Vietnam 99 days, in Turkey 89 days, and in Brazil 77 days.
There is no exact data for Uzbekistan, but according to approximate calculations, the base 256-gigabyte iPhone 17 is expected to be released for sale in Uzbekistan around September 23 at about 1300 US dollars. In the first half of 2025, the average monthly salary in our country was 5 million 982 thousand soms, approximately 480 dollars.
This corresponds to a daily income of 16 dollars. Based on this, it is estimated that for a person with an average income in Uzbekistan, purchasing an iPhone 17 requires at least 80 days of work.
Thus, while in wealthy European countries the new iPhone can be bought in less than a week, in Uzbekistan owning this device demands saving up several months' salary. This situation once again highlights the significant differences in economic opportunities and living standards between countries.
