Apple Maintained Leadership in the Smartphone Market in 2025

According to a new report by the research company Omdia, three main leaders were identified in the global smartphone market in 2025: Apple took first place, followed by Samsung, with Xiaomi in third place. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The competition is very strong, but the leadership position has not changed. According to the report, by the end of 2025, Apple leads the global market with a 19 percent share.
Samsung closely follows Apple with nearly a 19 percent share. Xiaomi firmly holds third place with a 13 percent share.
These two giants compete almost equally, while Xiaomi maintains its position steadily. Other brands in the top ten include Vivo, Oppo, Transsion, Honor, Lenovo, Huawei, and Realme.
The expanding competition in the market indicates that each company is developing special strategies for its customers. It was noted that the total shipments of leading companies increased by 7 percent, with Honor showing the largest growth: its shipment volume rose by 11 percent.
Such growth is related to several factors — model range, pricing policy, market entry speed, and marketing strategies. Interestingly, the global smartphone market grew by 2 percent last year.
Analysts had previously predicted that the market might shrink by 7 percent. This means the market is still maintaining its state, and people are not giving up on smartphones but are becoming more cautious in their choices.
