Apple blocked ByteDance apps in the US

After an agreement between the United States government and China's ByteDance company, Apple has introduced new technical restrictions in its App Store application store. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Now, users living in the US are deprived of the opportunity to download or update applications belonging to ByteDance. Although these changes are mainly aimed at the TikTok social network, they also affect the company's other services.
This was reported by the habr.com website. According to the law adopted by the US Congress, the distribution of applications belonging to ByteDance is prohibited.
Therefore, when iPhone users try to download applications, they receive a notification that this program is not available in their region. According to experts, Apple has launched complex systems that use GPS, Wi-Fi network identification codes, and SIM card data to determine users' locations.
US officials have accused ByteDance of having connections with the Chinese government and posing a threat to national security. These restrictions apply not only to TikTok but also to platforms such as the AI-based Doubao chatbot and Fanqie Novel.
Although Android users have the option to install applications from other sources, Google has also restricted these programs in its Play Store. Apple has not issued an official statement regarding this situation.
However, the company's recent actions appear aimed at technically stricter separation of regional versions of the App Store. This process accelerated after the change of TikTok's owner in the US and the deal involving local investors, including Oracle and the Silver Lake consortium.
