Huawei is preparing to make significant changes in the field of artificial intelligence. The company is expanding the production of its new Ascend 910C chip, aiming to compete with Nvidia's H100, according to The Financial Times.
According to reports, Huawei has significantly improved its manufacturing processes and increased the share of usable chips to 40%. This figure was only 20% a year ago. As a result, the company is preparing to launch mass production and enter the market soon.
Huawei plans to produce 100,000 units of the 910C chip by the end of 2025. This is part of the company's strategy to compete against NVIDIA's CUDA technology. At the same time, Huawei is developing its CANN software, which could directly compete with Nvidia's products.
Currently, Huawei's Ascend AI chips are primarily used by companies like DeepSeek, Alibaba, and Baidu for analytical processes. However, with the release of the Ascend 910C, Huawei aims to expand the application scope of its products and capture a portion of Nvidia's market share in China.
