The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Khujand city on a working visit.
The head of state was welcomed at the airport by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
In honor of the visit of the leader of Uzbekistan, state flags were raised. National songs and dances were performed.
Today, a trilateral meeting of the presidents of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan will take place.
According to the agenda, issues of further strengthening friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership relations, as well as expanding trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation will be discussed.
At the end of the negotiations, it is planned to sign an agreement on the junction point of the state borders of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
The presidents will also participate in a joint concert featuring artists.
