Iran is allowing passage through the Strait of Hormuz by selection.

Tehran is currently continuing diplomatic negotiations with certain countries seeking to pass through the Hormuz Strait. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi provided this information, although he did not specify exactly which countries were involved. According to the minister, the final decision mainly lies with the military, and alongside political agreements, military control also holds decisive importance.
Later, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei confirmed that ships belonging to certain countries have been allowed passage through the strait based on special permits. Experts believe that Tehran is pursuing a policy of selective permission with the aim of fully opening the Hormuz Strait.
This approach serves to ease political pressure in the region and protect against potential tensions in the global oil market. Currently, US President Donald Trump has appealed to European allies, urging them to join efforts aimed at opening the strait.
He emphasized that without necessary support, a very difficult future awaits NATO. However, European countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, along with other NATO members, have stated they will not expand military involvement in the Middle East.
Analysts note that while the strait could be opened by force at the US's behest, such actions carry great risk and a high likelihood of causing global-level tensions. Additionally, fully opening the Hormuz Strait may sometimes require military operations on land as well.
This would involve prolonged conflicts potentially leading to serious losses. Thus, the Hormuz Strait issue is of great importance not only regionally but also for global politics and economics.
This situation is testing the strategic approaches of Iran, the US, and European countries, and future decisions will directly impact world stability. Each side is acting cautiously to protect its interests, and the complexity of the situation is increasing.
