Uzbek woman missing in Maltepe found murdered

It has been revealed that the life of Hurriyat Tursunboyeva, a 36-year-old Uzbek citizen who has been missing without a trace since 2019 in the Maltepe district of Istanbul, was ended by murder. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to investigation data, she was murdered by her husband, 37-year-old Ersin Y.
The body was found dismembered. This incident mainly came to light during the process of reviewing cases of missing persons.
The police formed a special investigation team and questioned the woman’s relatives and neighbors. Neighbors reported an unpleasant smell coming from the house, but no one had information that the woman had left Turkey.
During the investigation, no documents were found indicating Hurriyat had left the country. It was also confirmed that her phone communications were active in Turkey during that period.
Expert examinations conducted under the prosecutor’s directive found traces of blood in the kitchen and balcony areas of the house. This led to focusing attention on the main suspects – the woman’s husband and his acquaintance.
In questioning, the main suspect admitted to killing Hurriyat during an argument. He said he first took the body to the balcony, used sand and lime to eliminate the odor, and then dismembered the body and disposed of it in the trash.
The second suspect stated that he had no knowledge of the murder and only consented to the use of his personal data. After the investigation was completed, the collected documents against both individuals were sent to court.
This incident serves as a serious warning for Uzbek citizens and the international community, highlighting the urgency of personal safety issues. At the same time, it showed the necessity of deeper and more systematic study of cases related to missing persons.
