
Special lessons on artificial intelligence will be introduced in higher grades. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Through this, new opportunities will be created for talented students, and conditions will be expanded for their future professional development. This decision was announced on September 9, 2023, at a video conference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, dedicated to the implementation of reforms in the education sector and priority tasks.
It is reported that starting from 2024, information technology lessons have been introduced for 1st-grade students, and from the next academic year, special lessons on artificial intelligence will also be offered in higher grades. This program is aimed at helping young people deeply master modern technologies and enhance their ability to solve complex problems.
Computers will be installed in 2,000 classrooms across the country, and 6,300 interactive whiteboards will be equipped. The necessary funds to meet these needs are planned to be included in the state budget.
Additionally, special schools for talented students will be established in the regions. Specifically, branches of the Al-Khwarizmi school for information technology, the Mirzo Ulugbek school for engineering, and the Ibn Sina school for natural sciences will be opened.
These schools will be directly affiliated with relevant technical universities, and graduates will be automatically admitted to the 2nd year of higher education institutions. Furthermore, in 2026, for the first time in Uzbekistan, international chemistry and informatics olympiads will be held within the framework of Central Asian countries.
The Prime Minister was assigned to organize these olympiads at a high level in the capital and oversee the organizational processes. It is worth noting that since the beginning of this year, Uzbek students have won 195 medals at international science olympiads.
