Tashkent-Chorvoq road: distance shortens, convenience increases
A new toll road leading from Tashkent to the Chorvoq recreational area is planned to be constructed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The length of this road will be 56 kilometers, which is expected to be significantly shorter and more convenient compared to the current 82-kilometer distance. This information was provided by Jasurbek Choriyev, a representative of the Ministry of Transport.

Chorvoq and Chimyon recreational areas are attractive destinations for tourists throughout the year. For this reason, the Ministry of Transport is focusing on developing new infrastructure to provide visitors with a convenient and fast way to reach their destination.

In particular, an alternative road project is being developed to eliminate the inconveniences caused by seasonal traffic jams. Currently, an average of 5,000 vehicles travel along the existing route daily, and during peak season, this number can increase up to 10 times.

Therefore, the new road project has been presented for public discussion, and its concept is being developed. The technical and economic basis of the project is planned to be ready by mid-2026.

After that, construction will begin based on the results of the tender. The new road will be built as a category 1A road, with a cement-concrete pavement and 6 lanes.

The maximum permitted speed on the route will be 150 km/h. The annual traffic flow is expected to reach 250,000 vehicles.

This road will not only shorten the distance but also make the Chorvoq area more convenient for the capital’s residents and guests. Construction work will be carried out on a public-private partnership basis, with special attention paid to avoiding damage to existing roads.

This project is expected not only to improve the transport system but also to contribute to the development of tourist areas.
