A new large-capacity heating supply center has been launched in the city of Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the operation of this modern cogeneration station established in the Yunusabad district. This project was implemented to ensure stable supply of electricity and heat energy to the population and economic facilities during the winter season.
The station, built on the territory of the 4th heating center in Yunusabad on a public-private partnership basis, has a capacity of 100 MW. The project was carried out in cooperation with the Chinese company "CNTIC," attracting 65 million dollars in direct foreign investment.
The center is equipped with 70 gas-piston units manufactured by the British company "Rolls-Royce." Within the framework of the project, the heating supply infrastructure was completely reconstructed, and old heating mains were replaced with insulated pipes.
This significantly helps reduce energy losses. The new center produces 876 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and 858 thousand gigacalories of heat energy annually.
Additionally, a saving of 35 million cubic meters of natural gas is expected. As a result of the center's operation, 1,846 facilities in the Yunusabad, Olmazor, Shaykhontohur, Mirzo Ulugbek, and Yakkasaray districts will be continuously supplied with heat energy.
Of these, 1,400 are residential households, and the rest are social sector facilities. Moreover, electricity will be stably supplied to 292 thousand households.
The project not only increases energy efficiency but also has significant environmental importance. The costs of heat energy production decrease by 40-45%, the amount of harmful substances released into the atmosphere is reduced, and wastewater discharges are eliminated.
While reviewing the work of this center, the head of state familiarized himself with preparations for the autumn-winter season, as well as the work carried out to develop and improve heating centers. The readiness of 358 management service companies serving more than 11,000 multi-story buildings in Tashkent for the season was also examined.
The President emphasized that their activities directly affect the lives of the population and must operate continuously and accurately. In addition, instructions were given to the responsible leaders in the fields of landscaping, energy, construction, and services to work systematically and in coordination throughout the season.
Such projects play an important role in modernizing the capital's infrastructure and creating convenience for the population. Source: Zamin.uz.
