
In 2026, 782 new industrial and infrastructure projects with a total value of 52 billion dollars will be implemented in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Next year, it is planned to launch 228 large production capacities worth 14 billion dollars.
These projects play an important role in the country's technological and innovative development. According to the President, new approaches will be necessary to increase the competitiveness of the economy, ensure the efficiency of investments, and technologically renew industrial sectors.
For this purpose, the activities of the ministries of economy and finance, investments, industry, and trade will be reviewed. Within the framework of the projects, new metallurgical complexes, chemical plants, and high-tech industrial sectors are planned to be developed.
For example, work is underway to develop gold and silver mines in Namangan region. A metallurgical complex with an annual capacity of 300 thousand tons of cathode copper is being constructed in Olmaliq.
Additionally, a chemical plant in Samarkand and the production of fertilizers and chemical products in Kashkadarya region will be established. Within the framework of the industrial development program, it is planned to increase the added value of industrial products from 36.5 billion dollars to at least 60 billion dollars within five years.
The volume of products in high-tech sectors will increase by two and a half times. As a result, by 2026, export volume will reach 40 billion dollars.
