"Uzbektelecom" commented on the claims of Humans
"Uzbektelecom," the national communication operator, responded to the claims made by the Humans company regarding damages caused by state agencies, as reported by NOVA24. The company announced its position regarding the complaints submitted by Humans and the international arbitration.
In May 2025, Humans appealed to the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights, requesting the initiation of an antitrust case against "Uzbektelecom." They claimed that the state operator set "monopolistic high prices" and reduced internet speed due to debts.
"Uzbektelecom" emphasized that Humans is a virtual operator that has not invested in its network and has been providing services based on the "Uzbektelecom" network since 2020.
The company assessed the claims regarding pressure on Humans as contrary to reality. On the contrary, Humans has the right to work with other operators such as Ucell, Beeline, and Mobi.uz.
"Uzbektelecom" stated that the Humans company systematically violated contractual obligations and that significant debts remained unpaid. Nevertheless, services continued to be provided to avoid violating users' rights.
On May 8, 2025, the Economic Court of Tashkent city satisfied the claim of "Uzbektelecom" and decided to recover the debt from Humans.
The company reserves the right to appeal to the court to protect its reputation if false information continues to spread. "Uzbektelecom" declared its commitment to transparency, fair competition, and compliance with the law, and expressed its readiness for open communication with Humans.
