According to city mayor Sergey Sobyanin, Russian air defense forces destroyed 19 drones directed at Moscow during the night and morning. One of the unmanned devices crashed into a multi-story residential building in Zelenograd.
As a result of the incident, damage occurred in one household, and two cars were burned due to falling drone fragments. No information has been provided about casualties or injuries.
According to the Russian civil aviation agency Rosaviatsiya, flights at Moscow airports were temporarily suspended on July 19 and 20. As a result, 134 aircraft were redirected to reserve aerodromes.
Flights have also been restricted at Kaluga airport. Additionally, on Saturday evening, serious disruptions occurred in railway traffic in Rostov region due to damage caused by fragments of Ukrainian drones to power lines.
In particular, the movement of 75 long-distance trains was delayed. To facilitate passengers, necessary measures are being taken by Russian Railways.
Currently, security measures have been intensified in the Moscow airspace, and a rapid information system has been activated to inform the population when there is a threat from the sky.
