Starting from October 1, 2025, a new mandatory fee will be introduced for all non-immigrant visas in the United States. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This fee is called the Visa Integrity Fee and amounts to 250 US dollars. This was reported by Kursiv Media.
This law was signed by former President Donald Trump. The fee will be in effect until the end of the 2025 fiscal year, that is, until September 30.
Subsequently, the fee amount may be revised taking into account the inflation rate. This fee will not be waived, but citizens of more than 40 countries that have visa-free entry rights will be exempt from it.
According to representatives of the US Travel Association, it is currently unclear when the fee will be officially implemented, how it will be paid, and whether there will be a possibility of refund. Association leaders emphasize that the new fee could increase travel costs to the USA by 144 percent, but it will not affect the waiting times in the visa application process.
Tourism industry representatives are concerned about a decrease in the number of visitors due to additional costs and complexities. The list of countries with visa-free entry includes Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, Estonia, South Korea, and Japan.
