Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed his views on the current situation in international politics. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, the whole world is facing the threat of war and a situation reminiscent of the Cold War. Orban spoke about global issues and concerns in a speech delivered in Baile Tusnad, Romania.
He emphasized that there is no clear answer to the question of whether a third world war could begin. He also noted that the return of former US President Donald Trump to politics has slightly reduced the risk of war, but this threat has not completely disappeared.
Orban pointed out that the competition among powerful states, the arms race, and economic restrictions in global politics are increasing the risk of war. Based on surveys conducted in Europe and the US, he stated that between 40 to 55 percent of the population believes that a world war could start in the next 5-10 years.
The Hungarian leader described the conflict in Ukraine as a serious problem for all of Europe and acknowledged the existence of this war. He also emphasized that the tensions between NATO and Russia pose a threat to the entire world following the NATO summit.
He reminded that it is necessary to prevent such threats. Experts and ordinary citizens are closely monitoring future events and the direction of global development.
Overall, Orban drew attention to the increasing uncertainty and concerns in world politics
