A 13-year-old teenager in Cairo, Egypt, died after consuming instant noodles raw. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The incident occurred in the Al-Marg district. The boy's body was found without any external injuries.
According to the initial investigation, he consumed three packs of instant noodles raw at the same time. This amount placed a heavy burden on his body, causing severe problems in his circulatory and gastrointestinal systems.
The prosecutor's office decided to arrest the owner of the store that sold the product. Samples of the noodles are being tested in a laboratory, and the body has been sent for forensic medical examination.
Preliminary results showed that the product met standards, but it was emphasized that consuming it raw in large quantities is dangerous. Instant noodles known as "Indomie" are widespread in Egypt, especially among young people.
This is because they are cheap and easy to prepare. In recent years, several adverse incidents related to this product have been recorded.
Experts note that ingredients such as monosodium glutamate and preservatives can harm health if consumed excessively and over a long period. The Egyptian National Nutrition Institute stated that there is currently no scientific evidence that instant noodles directly cause death.
According to experts, such tragedies are more often related to improper consumption of the product, overeating, or violations of storage conditions. This incident has caused concern not only among the local population but also among internet users and social media followers worldwide.
Many express condolences to the boy's family and relatives while emphasizing the need to update warnings about consumption amounts and conditions for young people.
