A well-known restaurant critic in Moscow was fined 200,000 rubles for an article they wrote. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
RIA Novosti agency provided information based on court documents. The critic's article included opinions about the restaurant's interior, menu, and service quality, as well as comments from the establishment's employees.
In particular, some employees expressed dissatisfaction with not receiving their salaries on time. These statements became the basis of the court case.
The restaurant management considered these remarks to be untrue and damaging to the institution's reputation. As a result, responsibility was assigned not to the employees but to the critic who included their words in the article.
According to the decision of the Moscow arbitration court, the critic must pay the fine along with court costs, state fees, and other mandatory payments. This case once again highlighted the necessity of caution and accuracy when reporting information in the media.
