
Significant cases identified within the framework of the fight against corruption in higher education institutions in Kyrgyzstan are being reviewed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result of inspections conducted by the Republic's special services, more than 20 thousand students, including foreign students, were expelled from higher education institutions. The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan implemented systematic measures to detect violations in the higher education system.
During the inspections, over 20 thousand students across the country were expelled from universities, of whom 13,295 were officially dismissed. According to the special services, foreign students studying in higher education mainly received education in medical and other fields in the cities of Osh and Bishkek.
Among them were students from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and other countries. Additionally, during the inspections, individuals who did not participate in the educational process but were included in the student lists were identified.
Regarding these cases, a criminal case has been opened under the article "Forgery of official documents" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. Investigations are ongoing against professors, teaching staff, and administrative employees of educational institutions.
