In recent days, a video circulating on social media has attracted widespread public attention and caused discontent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The incident, captured in the city of Khimki in the Moscow region, where a Russian individual insulted an Uzbek labor migrant, sparked numerous debates. In the video, it is evident that the Uzbek migrant used harsh words against the Russian taxi driver and insulted him.
He also directed offensive remarks at the Uzbek migrant, saying, “You are a slave, a slave of the Russians,” and “You came to us because there is nothing in Uzbekistan.” The Uzbek migrant tried to resolve the situation peacefully and left the scene without responding.
According to witnesses, the conflict arose because the taxi driver's car briefly blocked the road at that spot. After this incident was widely discussed on social media, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan also issued a statement.
In his statement, Press Secretary Ahror Burhonov emphasized that according to the Constitution of Uzbekistan, national laws, and international legal norms, our citizens are under state protection anywhere in the world. If their rights and interests are violated, they should first contact local law enforcement agencies.
Additionally, there is an opportunity to receive legal assistance through our diplomatic missions and consular institutions. Burhonov also stressed that the state considers protecting its citizens living abroad a priority task and always fulfills this responsibility.
Thus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again reminded that it guarantees constant support and protection to citizens regarding this incident in Russia. This event once again demonstrated the importance of protecting the rights and dignity of our compatriots.
